Pengesa e Hesco-s quhet edhe pengesë mbrojtëse,muri mbrojtës hesco,kafaz me rërë,kuti me gabion të salduar,etj.Eshte i parafabrikuar,sistem shumëqelizor, e bërë nga rrjetë çeliku e veshur me zink dhe e veshur me gjeotekstile jo të endura. Njësitë mund të zgjaten dhe bashkohen duke përdorur kunjat bashkuese të ofruara. Instalohet lehtë me përdorimin minimal të fuqisë punëtore dhe pajisjeve të zakonshme. Pas zgjatjes,është e mbushur me rërë,guri,pastaj barriera hesco si një mur mbrojtës ose bunker,përdoret gjerësisht për fortifikimin ushtarak dhe kontrollin e përmbytjeve.
